Three years on

We recently celebrated our 3rd year of living and working in China, not so much with a party and cake, but with Julie visiting an orphanage 4 hours south of us for medical checks of the children and staff training .... while Sam visited a city on the Tibetan plateau devastated by the 2010 earthquake, to provide medical consultations and doctor training.
When we look back, it has been one challenge after another, seeing the enormous needs of millions of individuals. But being able to help 1 person at a time makes a huge difference in their life.

We have now officially adopted our beautiful Maggie, Elim Kids HIV community care program has been running for 18 months officially (just about to go to 2 distant provinces to receive 2 more HIV affected children this month), our community health teaching and village doctor training continues and on top of that, our boys Thomas and James continue with their distance education.
It makes for a busy life for us all, but we remain ever grateful for people like you (reading this) who support us through pr*yer, finances, visits, gifts and spreading the news back at home.

We are hoping for a 6 month break later this year, and would love to visit the USA and Australia, visit as manby of you as we can, work (need to keep our skills (and finances) up) and have a bit of rest.

Hope to see you soon!
